I went to bed after I spent a long boring day reading a book Nico had in his room. It was called "Eragon", and I got bored. Fast. Nico was still researching something, only the gods know what, and I was thinking. Yes, I know, it's a dangerous pastime for me. But I had too. I was thinking about (obviously) Nico. And what to do. Thinking didn't help.
I climbed in bed, exhausted from doing nothing all day, and I was ready for a normal night for once. But, of course, that did not happen. I had to dream again! Of course! *grumble grumble*.

I walked into the kitchen, looking for bandages. I didn't want Nico to see my hands. They were…gross. I rummaged through the kitchen drawer, grinning when I found a roll of white Ace bandages. "Success!" I whispered.
"Success on what?" Nico asked, making me jump out of my skin. He was right behind me, looking over my shoulder.
"Oh…nothing. You know, the usual." I said, laughing fake and guiltily. I hid my bruised hands and the bandages behind my back.
Nico grabbed my hands, and his expression turned pained. "What happened? Oh, Kamari…" He

Nico worked hurriedly over the limp body of Kamari. He had no idea what he was doing, but he thought it was working. He put his hand on her chest and closed his eyes. He saw Kamari lying in a bed, in a very familiar place. That very place filled him with his anger that he sometimes forgot when with Kamari. She brought out the very best, and occasionally, the very worst.
